Epigenetic Integrity of Orthodox Seeds Stored under Conventional and Cryogenic Conditions

The level of 5-methylcytosine (m5C) in DNA has been observed to change plants response biotic and abiotic stress factors. Little information reported on alterations methylation orthodox tree seeds storage conditions. In the current study, epigenetic integrity was analyzed Pyrus communis L. conventional cryogenic storage. results indicate that under optimal conditions resulted a significant increase m5C. contrast, decrease m5C after cryostorage at high water content (WC) observed, not only but also 3-month-old seedlings which were smaller than obtained from cryostored WC. This shows non-optimal instability seedlings. Optimal procedures for germplasm conservation are very important banking since they have serious implications quality stored collections. Maintaining during WC adjustment is characteristic feature seeds. underline importance proper protocols techniques particularly cryopreservation as method true-to-type long periods.
